I began my career in dentistry in 1988, working as an apprentice dental nurse in a local Nottinghamshire practice, and gaining the National Certificate in Dental Nursing in 1991. I then went on to study clinical dental hygiene at Manchester’s Turner Dental Hospital, qualifying with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1994. Since graduation, I have continued to provide dental hygiene service to patients in and around the Nottinghamshire area, including 28 years of continuous service with the former Peveril Road Dental Practice, in Beeston, which closed permanently in 2024.
I have always enjoyed helping and supporting dental patients in achieving the best possible outcomes for their oral health, and I take great pride in the work I do.
Outside of work, I have a passion for archaeology, and I hold additional degrees in archaeology, bioarchaeology and forensics. I enjoy being outdoors and taking long walks and cycle rides in the countryside, indulging my love for wildlife and nature. I am also a regular gym-goer, and my idea of the perfect night in would be a good book and a big mug of tea!
